What renovations typically cost

Honest ranges, before we ever visit.

Most people have no idea what a renovation should cost in Sydney, so here's a starting point. Your fixed quote is based on your home, your selections and your drawings.

  • Moving plumbing, walls or windows changes the price most
  • Finishes and joinery can swing a kitchen by tens of thousands
  • Older homes may need structural, electrical or asbestos work
  • Access, council approvals and engineering apply to extensions

Questions

Good questions to ask any builder.

If yours isn't here, call us. You'll talk to someone who actually builds, not a call centre.

02 5550 1847
Is the site visit really free?

Yes. We'll come to your home, look at the space, talk through your ideas and budget, and explain the next steps. There's no obligation and no hard sell.

What does "fixed-price quote" actually mean?

Once drawings and selections are confirmed, we price the full scope as a fixed contract sum. The only changes are variations you request or approve in writing, and any provisional sums are clearly listed upfront.

Are you licensed and insured?

We are a licensed NSW builder and fully insured for public liability and contract works. Home warranty insurance is arranged on all eligible jobs, as required in NSW. We'll provide our licence and certificates with your quote.

Can we live in the house during the renovation?

Often, yes — especially for kitchens, bathrooms and decks. For larger extensions or whole-home work we'll talk through staging, temporary kitchens and when it makes sense to move out for a few weeks.

Do you handle council approvals and design?

We coordinate the design, engineering and approvals process (DA or CDC) with trusted local architects, drafters and certifiers, or work with your existing architect if you have one.

How long does a typical renovation take?

As a rough guide: bathrooms 4–6 weeks, kitchens 6–8 weeks, decks 2–4 weeks and extensions 4–8 months once approvals are in place. Your contract includes a written schedule.
